The City fully funds basic life insurance at no cost to employees.
supplemental life insurance
The rate for supplemental life insurance is determined by two factors, the employees age and the amount of additional life insurance elected (employees can elect up to $100,000 in $10,000 increments). Any rate change due to age occurs the 1st of January, after the employee moves into the higher age category.
